The seven summits were made famous by Dick Bass upon his completion of all the mountains in 1985. Carstensz Pyramid was later added to be the highest peak in Oceania; the western pacific geographic region encompassing Australia, Melanesia, Micronesia and Polynesia. I hope to make my quest to climb these mountains a reality with your support and benefit a great charity, Firefighters For Healing, in the process.
