The Khumbu Valley Nepal is home to the Himalaya Mountains, Mt Everest, incredible scenery and the most amazing people. This picture was taken overlooking Everest basecamp, the Khumbu icefall and Mt Everest towering in the rear at 29,035 feet! The trek to basecamp took 2 weeks along the Dudh Kosi river from Lukla to the icefall, through many villages and monasteries, with views of the Himalayas, tallest mountain range in the world. The trek was an unbelievable experience and used to acclimate our bodies to altitude. Everest basecamp sits at 17,500 feet and was our home for the next two months, while our team attempted the climb.
